Every may long weekend 800-1000 youth from all over the Northwest invade Kelowna. This invasion is more then just an event, it is an “Avalanche”. It is a weekend about God and about you – the youth generation-- getting to know Him more. It is a weekend where you will be called to a new level of worship, to be challenged by different speakers and your peers, to gain tools that you can apply everyday, to connect with youth groups from all over, to have fun and to be invited to be more intimate with God. Out of this intimate experience we know you will be empowered to go out and live your life - your God-life-- to the fullest.

What we are all about
Here are some things we believe and are praying for in Avalanche 2007...
We want God to be the initiator and origin of this Avalanche!
We want to see youth getting intimate with God and taking him Home with them.
We want to see and pray for change which last longer than a weekend!
We want every person to be prayed for and touched.
We love to dance and to rock, to cry and to laugh, together!
We love to create places where youth can step out and find their voice and expression to love God and their neighbors.
We love the Creative Arts.
We believe people of all ages can hear God.
We want to see the generations, the Elijah's and Elisha's, walking together in blessing and power! Different Generation with one goal!

Out of the Blue – That’s just it, it’s out of the blue events. They’ll happen randomly when you least expect it and you’ll find out when it happens. We can’t tell you anything else.
24-7 Prayer – Whenever the doors are open the 24-7 prayer room will be too. You can go there anytime to just pray.

With over half of the world under the age of 14 and the majority of them living in poverty with no hope of a future it brings us back to the beginnings of the church. In those beginnings God first called His disciples to the poor, the widow, and the orphan. And so we are called.
At Avalanche 2007 we will sound the call that has been a part of the heart of Avalanche since it started.
We will share with you the amazing things that have happened as a result of last years giving and education. We were able to significantly impact Swaziland with the start of a babies home, build a floor for a school in the Nairobi slums, begin a small water buffalo business in Burma to help keep the children’s home running, and buy a jeapnee for a children’s home in the Philippines.
This year we will call everyone to a new level of involvement. Email us if you would like ideas on how to fund raise or what this years giving will go to. Come prepared to give, to learn, to go.
